Thoughts on March and Blogs
Posted on March 17, 2008 at 9:35pm

It may not have been the most sensible thing to start my blog when I did — I knew that March was going to be a busy month. I’ve just spent a weekend away in London and I’m off hitchhiking to Morocco in just over a week’s time (not to mention all the preparatory meetings/drinking sessions with the other hitchers). It’s not really left me that much time to get into blogging as I’d like to.
Still, I think the important thing is that it’s been started. It’s also driven me to properly get into reading other blogs, through using Feedburner and Google Reader. In fact, in this month, I’ve subscribed to 18 feeds, found half as many sites again that I visit regularly, joined del.icio.us, added the StumbleUpon extension to my Firefox, joined Flickr, and compiled a bookmark list of 20 or so sites that I’m planning to join and submit to. So the month doesn’t seem like quite so much of a loss…
Here’s a quick half-dozen of the sites and articles that have caught my attention recently:
- 12 Ways to Tap Into an Endless Well of Creativity
- Blog.SpoonGraphics
- PSDTuts
- LogoPond
- Smashing Magazine
- You the Designer
I’m still learning which are the best places to head to for design news, examples and trends, etc. so if you’ve got suggestions, I’d love to hear them…
