Finger on the Tulse
I've been living in Tulse Hill in south London for a month now, and I'm knackered! Since we moved in, I don't think we've had more than three or four days without somebody visiting! Our third weekend saw our housewarming party, and sleeping 20+ people in our little flat… hectic, but fun!
My internet situation is frustrating at the moment — Virgin Media was supposed to have installed our services on the 22nd, but after waiting around all that morning I phoned them to be told that due to problems with the line, we've been moved to an August 8th installation. It makes me so mad! Not only do they make existing customers wait three weeks to continue their contract, but they then change it and don't have the courtesy to let us know (...well, they claimed to have called, but for various reasons that's an obvious lie, which angers me even more!). We can't even leave them, because we'd still need to pay off our remaining two months… *sigh* Just a week to go now, at least.
I've not had a lot of luck with job-hunting so far either. Granted, I've only been applying online (luckily a client has been lending me his Vodafone USB broadband dongle), but still nothing. London's proved to be even more expensive than I predicted, so I'm off to the Job Centre tomorrow to get some money in the bank ahead of Reading Festival in 3 weeks, but obviously I'll keep on looking for something permanent in graphics and keep my fingers crossed!
