About Me
Hi, I’m Rob, an illustrator and designer living and working in Clapham, south London.
My passion is illustration — I’ve been drawing my whole life, and it’s always been something that I wanted to turn into a career. At the moment, I’m building my business as an illustrator under the name Nice Hot Cuppa. You can check out my work on my portfolio site.
I have over 6 years’ experience working as a graphic and web designer. I love working in print — having a finished product to hold in your hands is always exciting, and I provide a wide range of services, from logo and stationary design, to coming up with album covers and typesetting entire books. In digital terms, I started dabbling when the dreaded IE6 was brand new, and have continually built up my skills since those early days to produce great front- and back-end work.
I’m currently working for Creative Eye, designing and developing WordPress sites for a wide range of clients.
I also run Yo Illo, organising illustrator meet ups every 6 weeks or so — gathering illustrators in London to a pub in order to swap stories and advice, and get to know each other over a couple of pints.
Outside of work, I spend my time cycling, playing tennis, and flexing my guns drinking with friends.
